Twenty Two years of experience in the HV substations and power plants.
In 1994, during the rehabilitation phase of the Lebanese High Voltage 66kV and 150kV Networks, I started my career with Matelecgroup as a junior design engineer in the design department. However, later in thesame year, I also did the factory testing, site testing and commissioning of many rehabilitated substations in the Lebanese network.
Between 1997 and 1999, beside the design work in the office, I had also the opportunity to work as a site engineer performing the execution, testing and commissioning of 220kV substations (Five GIS: BCD, Aramoun, Pin, Ras Beyrut and Mkalles & One AIS: Deir Nbouh).
During these years that I passed shifting between design and execution, I attended training courses in Relays programming & setting commissioning, MV switchgear Installation, Equipment testing and HV Circuit Breakers Installation & commissioning.
In 2002, I was deployed to Egypt as resident project manager for the construction of a 66kV GIS substation.
In the first quarter of the year 2003, I returned to Lebanonwhere I was assigned to be the head of the construction team of Bsalim 220kV GIS substation. In the year following this project, I was deployed to Syria, from 2003 to 2005, as resident project manager for the construction of two 220kV AIS substations and two 220kV GIS substations.
In 2006, I joined EDF (Electricité de France) office in Lebanon as High Voltage Substations Consultant Engineer for the reconstruction of 400/220kV substation of KSARA, where I still work until present; in 2009 EDF deploy me India “Crompton Greaves” in as power transformer expert for the FAT of 66 & 220kV transformers in 2010 I went to Burkina Faso as a supervisor for commissioning of six 90kV substations. During the working period with EDF, I had the opportunity to execute some electrical projects as a freelancer for my own account. For instance, I worked as freelancer commissioning engineerfor ALSTOM team at SOHAR Power Plant in OMAN, and as project manager, for complete 66kV AIS substations in west Bekaa and Selaata starting from the design stages up to the construction.
2013 until now deployed by EDF to follow up the construction of 500kV and 220kV GIS Substations
